Enhancing academics and learning for the rural and semi-urban India

India, being a developing country, has made significant progress in education. However, there is still a considerable gap between the education system in rural and semi-urban areas compared to urban cities. According to a report by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), the literacy rate in rural India is only 67.5%, compared to 85.2% in urban areas. This disparity in literacy rates highlights the need for better infrastructure and approach to academic opportunities in rural and semi-urban areas.

One of the main reasons for this gap is the need for more access to quality education in these areas. Many rural and semi-urban areas need access to modern facilities and technology, and these schools are often understaffed and underfunded. This lack of resources makes it difficult for students in these areas to receive a quality education.

A holistic and digital approach, alongside better school infrastructure, is needed to bridge this gap. Better learning can be achieved by implementing digital learning programs and providing access to modern technology in rural and semi-urban schools. This approach will improve the quality of education and provide students in these areas with the same opportunities as their urban counterparts.

Let’s discuss the Vardhman Podar Learn School (Podar) opening in Seoni. Podar offers the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education framework alongside the best infrastructure and specialist coaches for sports. The grounds are laid out with competition-level turf, making it the first school in Seoni to offer this opportunity to the region’s children to make themselves better human beings, be physically active and fit and gives an edge to those wishing to make a career in sports.

We believe in churning out the best learning to allow Seoni students to compete with their urban counterparts ably. Digital classrooms provide the edge to our regional students who now study under the guidance of well-trained teachers using digital classrooms, projectors and hands-on practical labs beyond classes for arts, music, martial arts and sports. Podar Seoni is at par with any modern school across India in terms of infrastructure and is still affordable compared to the best modern infra schools of big cities.

In conclusion, the gap in education between rural and semi-urban areas and urban cities in India needs to be addressed. A holistic and digital approach, alongside better school infrastructure, is necessary to bring the rural and semi-urban children to par with the urban populace. The government and private institutions should work together to provide better educational opportunities for students in these areas. Podar in Seoni is a step in the right direction and provides opportunities for local students to make their mark in an ever-evolving India.
